Last Sunday we invited my family over for dinner. We had to pull out the camping chairs and the office chair...and have them bring one extra plate. But it was sure fun to have them over.

Happy Birthday!
Dallin turned 22 on October 10. While he didn't initially have work off that day, he did end up staying home because he got sick. So he did a lot of sleeping on his birthday, but he did get to stay home! We celebrated the night before, then had a birthday dinner and cake with my family that Sunday and we'll be celebrating with his family this weekend. So he basically gets a two week extended birthday.
It's crazy to think that Dal is 22 and has almost been home for a year (this week!) Crazy what can happen in 12 months... It's fun to look back to a year ago today and think about how excited I was to see him again.

Curing the Homework Blues
These days I have A LOT of homework. Sometimes I do homework for so long that I start to go a little crazy. See...
Last week Dal had a fantastic idea of how to chase away the homework blues. We went ice-blocking. I had never been before, somehow I missed out on it all through high school. But it was fun, more fun than I expected it to be, and especially fun because Dallin was there.

That's all it took, a little ice-blocking and a movie night and I'm sane again.
